How long does account setup take?
New accounts are setup instantly. After payment, you should receive your welcome email within minutes. If you do not see it after one hour, please contact us.
Can I host other types of websites?
Absolutely! Our hosting is not just for fansites, even though that is our specialty. We also host design sites, personal sites, galleries, and blogs.
Does your hosting plan include the domain?
Unfortunately, no. Clients are required to purchase their own domain names separately. We do sell domain names for $12.99/yr. You will see domain registration option at sign up.
Will you transfer my website?
Yes, we can migrate your site from another webhost. There is a one-time fee of $10. This includes moving all your files and databases, and checking to make sure everything is working correctly before you change your nameservers.
How many domains can I use?
Our hosting plan allows you to host a single domain on our basic plan or choose our multi-site plan for multiple domain hosting.
Where can I buy a domain name?
We now offer domain registrations for .com, .net, .org and .bz. All domains can be managed easily from our domain manager portal. You can buy them here.
Do I need to give you my home address?
No, you don't have to provide your complete home address if you don't want to. Only your country is required when ordering. We will need address if you are registering a domain name.
Can I use a Stars.bz subdomain?
Yes you can! If you don't want to buy a domain name then you can use a subdomain like "example.stars.bz" for free. Just select this when you are ordering.
How can you be so cheap?
We have taken out the non-essentials like phone support, email services and fancy office space. This service is also run as a hobby and passion, similar to how most fansites are run.
Do you provide email hosting?
Sorry, we do not provide any email accounts. This helps keep our prices low. We suggest using a free email provider like Gmail.
Will you place adverts on my website?
No, we do not display any banners, advertising or toolbars. A link to Stars.bz on your site would be appreciated though.
What are your pageview limits?
We do not limit your pageviews or bandwidth. However, if your site has a lot of traffic (>1000 daily visits), it may not be suitable for a budget host.
Do you allow video files or streaming?
No, we do not permit video streaming nor videos files for download. We suggest you upload videos to an external source like YouTube and embed them.
If I am not happy, can I get a refund?
Yes, if you are not satisfied we will give you a full refund if you cancel within 30 days. Yearly payments cancelled after 30 days will receive a pro-rated refund for any unused months.
How do I cancel my hosting account?
You can cancel in the client area. Select Request Cancellation in the drop-down menu next to your active hosting account.
